has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a wood burner and a private seaside garden and can sleep up to three adults and one child in the unesco world heritage cornish harbour village of charlestown. self to fully catered, food from our kitchen to order, restaurants within toddler distance, spa at home and wild swimming on your doorstep, luxury in absolute privacy.
the cottage is a little grade II listed house, at the end of a georgian terrace, a few hundred yards from the quay of the historic harbour village of charlestown. the cottage is set back from the bustle of the village by its long path and lawn, this beautiful cottage is decorated to the exquisitely high standards you would expect from us.
the cottage sleeps four, in seaside bliss.

there are two bedrooms, a king and a small double. the cabin bed in the smaller bedroom would not be out of place on a falmouth packet ( ship ) a good reason to visit the maritime museum. the cabin bed is a tad tight for 2 fully grown people, unless of course they are very friendly ! both bedrooms have style, comfort and attention to detail.
the sheets are the most fabulous egyptian cotton percale. the duvet, pillows and towels are the softest you can find. this cottage sees us bring together our eye for detail and design. it also houses some of david's favourite finds !

the bathroom, with its ceiling open to the rafters, has a cast iron bath coupled with a powerful overhead shower and the softest towels to wrap up in after a good long soak.

the slate floored kitchen (heated) has all the modern appliances you would expect, ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, belfast sink, wifi and hopefully everything else you might need. the washing machine, tumble dryer, overhead airer, belfast sink, iron and ironing board are in the old laundry, the largest of the three outbuildings. the log store and the original loo ( working ) are in the others.

maybe dine in cosy candlelight at the table in the sitting room, warmed by the wood burner or catch the sun rising with an alfresco breakfast in the back courtyard and maybe supper with the sun going down in the front flower garden.
t h e s i t t i n g r o o m
the oak floored sitting room has a tiny sofa for two, with a pair of armchairs beside the wood burner. the television is smart, very.

or you might like to stay at home in your lovingly planted south facing garden and have some food from our kitchen delivered.

built in the late 1700's, the tiny harbour village of charlestown is largely unchanged and has been granted UNESCO world heritage status.
the beaches, either side of the quay, are so close a toddler can make it. it is an easy stroll over the quay's lock gate to the restaurant, the pub, the wine bar, the deli, the cafe, the museum, the antiques shop and it is a 10 minute walk to the supermarket.
charlestown is approximately 15 minutes drive from both the eden project and the lost gardens of heligan and is perfectly positioned for visiting the best that cornwall has to offer, including the maritime museum in falmouth and the tate at st ives. the airport at newquay and our closest surfing beach, watergate bay, are both a 35 minute drive and it is a 10 minute drive from the mainline train station.
