you will find clipper ground coffee, clipper tea bags, sugar, salt and pepper in the kitchen, milk and some home made florentines in the fridge plus the usual bits under the kitchen sink.
you will find loo paper by the loos, some emergency loo paper, a toothbrush|shaving adaptor plug and a hairdryer in the chest of drawers, and hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom to use whilst you are with us.
you will also find a basket of kiln dried logs for the fires and there are more in the log store, £10 per bag, just email if you can't find them !
our water is so soft that the engineer says we don't need dishwasher salt, even if the red button flashes !
our towel rails are all electric, please turn them off if you are too hot !
liberty wines choose some for us. you will find a delicious red, a white and a prosecco. drink what you’d like and settle up using your good house keeping deposit.
the our wifi is fantastically fast, however solid granite georgian walls can test even the fastest signal, so we have installed wifi boosters.
boosters do sometimes get a bit confused, so turning off & then on usually sorts things out !
our wifi is secure, if your work laptop has advanced security settings, we might need to ask for your laptops mac address, click HERE to find out what it is.
the wireless broadband network is called antonias pearl’s, the password is compassrose
our pearls are all very slightly different.
the hot water is set to continuous.
if you manage to use it all up, it will reheat in a couple of hours.
the central heating will be set to twice daily, 6.30am to 10.30am and 3.45pm to 10.30pm, the radiators are all set to 2 and are wonderfully easy to turn up or down. if you would like the central heating set differently, do email.
until then, there is a blow heater in each kitchen cupboard.
please check the fire alarms and the carbon monoxide alarms are all working when you arrive, their positions are listed on the fire risk assessment.
please check you know the positions of the fire extinguishers and the fire blanket, their positions are listed on the fire risk assessment.
and please check the child window safety locks are in place on all upstairs windows and that you can see each windows emergency release key.
the second front door key is with the kitchen utensils.
if a fuse blows, please email and we will drop everything to deal with it.
we will collect your rubbish when you leave.
cornwall council have bought in a fearsome recycling system.
they now collect food waste, glass, paper, cardboard, hard plastic & tins.
please wash everything as we have to store it for up to three weeks.
sadly soft plastic has to go to landfill unless you fancy taking it to tesco.
the rest goes to landfill.
weaver fish are tiny little fish that bury themselves in sand by the sea. it really is best to wear jellies or wet suit shoes. our kids are hard & don’t bother, but I would really hate a tiny to be put off the sea because of a nibble. a bucket of the hottest water that can be borne is the answer, the heat deactivates the sting. the weeing technique is for jelly fish & we have not seen one here.
when you leave
checkout is by 10am.
our housekeepers will arrive promptly at 10am.
please leave both sets of front door keys by the kettle.
please don’t strip the beds, we will do it.
please don’t put the pre-school kids stuff away, we will sterilise it.
please leave things as you would like to find it.
if you break anything, do please let us know before you leave so we can get it mended for the next guests.
if you find anything broken when you arrive, which you shouldn’t, again please let us know.
