the sea cabin is very special indeed and if you are lucky, on a stormy night the waves will lull you to sleep. the sea cabin is a pair of exquisitely renovated grade II listed buildings with a glorious glass covered sitting|dining room, designed for eating, living, star gazing and generally having a grand time, hidden in its own private garden on the quay overlooking the historic harbour village of charlestown.
t h e b e d r o o m s
the sea cabin sleeps up to two adults and two children or one small teen in seaside tranquility. one bedroom is a wonderful open to the rafters king and has style, comfort and attention to detail. the darling small childs room has a pair of bunk beds that would not be out of place on a falmouth packet ( ship ), a good reason to visit the maritime museum.
f u r t h e r g u e s t s
further guests can stay in king sized ensuite seaside luxury, along the garden path, at the sail loft, at £100 pppn.
t h e b a t h r o o m
the cast iron free standing bath is designed for soaking. the wet room has a wonderfully powerful lefroy brooks shower, basin and most importantly, a loo with a view!
t h e k i t c h e n
all the kitchen appliances would expect to find are there, a ceramic hob, an electric oven, a fridge, a microwave and a dishwasher. you'll (hopefully) find everything else you might need including the washing machine|tumble dryer, airier, iron and ironing board.
t h e d i n i n g r o o m
just to make things exciting, there are two dining tables !
a little one, with its bank of windows overlooking your private garden and a larger one in the glass covered sitting|dining room - inside|outside living at its best.
t h e s i t t i n g r o o m
and there are two places to sit !
the little sitting room has a wonderfully squishy l-shaped sofa, a mini everhot (oh my), a smart television, a bose sound dock and the wifi works a treat. the larger sitting|dining room has a pair of wonderfully comfy arm chairs, a lovely squishy sofa and long dining table. the late afternoon|early evening light is just spectacular.
t h e g a r d e n
the beauty of the sea cabin is being able to enjoy the best of the weather whilst being protected from the worst, in total privacy.

built in the late 1700's, the tiny harbour village of charlestown is largely unchanged and has been granted UNESCO world heritage status.
the beaches, either side of the quay, are so close a toddler can make it. it is an easy stroll over the quay's lock gate to the restaurant, the pub, the wine bar, the cafe, the antiques shop and it is a 10 minute walk to the supermarket.
charlestown is approximately 15 minutes drive from both the eden project and the lost gardens of heligan and is perfectly positioned for visiting the best that cornwall has to offer, including the maritime museum in falmouth and the tate at st ives. the airport at newquay and our closest surfing beach, watergate bay, are both a 35 minute drive and it is a 10 minute drive from the mainline train station.
